Startup Founders May Have a Great NFT Project Launch Idea, but Before Users Invest Their Need to Understand the “Why”

Before investing it’s important for users to understand the “Why” behind every NFT project launch. As the blockchain technology movement gains traction to not only tokenize real-world assets but also provide transparency of transaction history, trust, and proof of ownership among the countless use cases for digital transformation. Not every startup project has an interesting backstory or is working toward the ultimate web3 vision. Their founders may have had a great idea, but they lack a compelling “Why” to make it a success.

It’s important to understand what’s driving each project, and to try to assess how long it might be before the value of the underlying asset can be realized. Most NFT projects share common similarities, so always try to look at the underlying use case or utility of each project as a starting point. As a result, you can determine whether projects exist solely for fundraising purposes, which can be very risky.

When we invest in a project’s future potential, we are also investing in the team behind it. We are placing our faith in their ability to carry out their vision. And, in order to ensure future stability, that vision must be compelling enough to attract and retain the best talent and investment.

The most successful projects are those that are motivated by factors other than creativity or visual art. They are motivated by a greater purpose. A reason bigger than themselves. Looking at a team’s track record is the best way to assess its culture. How have they previously dealt with adversity? What are their core values? What do they represent? Have they got their tokenomics right? Have they met all of the goals outlined in their roadmap?

These are the things that will make or break a company in the long run. So, next time you are looking to invest, launch, or partner up in the next big thing, make sure you pay attention to the “Why”. It is the foundation upon which all else is built.
