PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT 

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” 

We may collect Device Information using the following technologies:

“Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. 

“Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site. 

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store. 

While you visit our site, we’ll track: 

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed 
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping 
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order! 

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site. 

COMMENTS 

When visitors leave comments on the Site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. 

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. 

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. 

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. 

MEDIA 

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. 

CONTACT FORMS 

If you leave a comment on our Site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. 

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. 

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. 

If you edit or publish a comment, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the ID of the comment you just edited. It expires after 1 day. 

EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES 

Articles on this Site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. 

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. 

ORDER INFORMATION 

We refer to this information as “Order Information.” 

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number.  

Payment information (including credit card numbers) is processed through Square and or Stripe, and as such, is collected via Square and or Stripe for the processing of the payment. We do not store or have access to the payment information you provide. Square may use your name, billing address, phone number to validate the transaction. 

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information. 

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to: 

  • Send you information about your account and order 
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints 
  • Process payments and prevent fraud 
  • Set up your account for our store 
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes 
  • Improve our store offerings 
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them 

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders. 

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses. 

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them. 

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access: 

Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and 

Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information, not Credit Card Information. 

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds, and support you. 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION? 

We use the Order Information that we generally collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to: 

Communicate with you; 

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and 

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. 

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SMS COMPLIANCE WITH TCR 

In accordance with Canadian regulations and to ensure transparency in our communication practices, we include the following clause focusing on compliance with The Campaign Registry (TCR) in Canada within our privacy policy:

Compliance with The Campaign Registry (TCR): We adhere to the requirements set forth by The Campaign Registry (TCR) in Canada to facilitate compliance with commercial electronic message (CEM) regulations under the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This clause outlines our commitment to transparency, accountability, and lawful communication practices.

Identification and Contact Information: All commercial electronic messages (CEMs) sent by us include accurate identification and contact information, as mandated by TCR regulations. This information allows recipients to easily identify the sender and provides a means for contacting us for inquiries or unsubscribing from future communications.

Compliance with CASL and TCR: Our communication practices comply with both the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and The Campaign Registry (TCR) requirements. We obtain explicit consent before sending commercial electronic messages (CEMs) and ensure that all CEMs contain the necessary identification and contact information as specified by CASL and TCR regulations.

Opt-Out Mechanism: Recipients of our commercial electronic messages (CEMs) have the right to opt out of receiving future communications at any time. We provide clear and conspicuous unsubscribe mechanisms in all CEMs, allowing recipients to easily opt out of receiving further communications from us.

Compliance Reporting and Monitoring: We maintain records of consent and unsubscribe requests in accordance with TCR regulations and make them available upon request. Additionally, we monitor and review our communication practices regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with TCR requirements.

Updates to TCR Compliance Clause: This TCR Compliance Clause may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or TCR regulations. Customers will be notified of any material changes to the clause and provided with an opportunity to review and consent to the updated terms. 

By engaging with our services and consenting to receive commercial electronic messages (CEMs), you acknowledge that you have read and understood our TCR Compliance Clause and consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data for the purposes outlined herein. 

DO NOT TRACK 

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser. 

YOUR RIGHTS 

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
